My Perspective
Texas judicial ethics rules prevent any judicial candidate from stating how they would rule on specific cases or specific types of defendants, but I can share the values and experience that would guide my service on the bench.
My perspective is rooted in practical courtroom experience, a commitment to fairness, and a focus on running a court that serves both justice and the community.
Mental health treatment.
I have seen how often mental health issues are at the center of criminal cases. I support thoughtful diversion practices that connect eligible individuals with treatment instead of unnecessary jail time.
Careful review at the earliest stage.
My intake experience taught me the importance of closely examining whether there is sufficient probable cause before a case moves forward. That perspective supports a court that takes fairness and legal standards seriously from the start.
Rehabilitation and second chances.
As a trial prosecutor, I have seen how meaningful rehabilitation can change outcomes. I believe courts should recognize opportunities for accountability, growth, and long-term stability.
Protection of constitutional rights.
My post-conviction work has shown me the lasting impact of system failures. That experience deepened my commitment to due process, accountability, and protecting the rights of every person who comes before the court.
A fair and efficient court.
I believe straightforward cases should move without unnecessary delay, while more complex cases should be managed in a way that gives attorneys time to prepare and reduces needless court appearances. A well-run court supports justice, public safety, and stability for working families.
